Part of History the NFL Forgot

The Baltimore Colts is a part of the history of Memorial Stadium and the National Football League that is still sore topic to this day in the eyes of Baltimoreians. The Baltimore Colts played at Memorial Stadium from  1950,1953-1983 according to a website created by Frank Fleming.

I never got the chance to witness a professional football game at the stadium, nevertheless the  Baltimore Colts have a following that still endures twenty six years after the Mayflower trucks pulled out. Johnny Unitas was the Colts Hall of Fame quaterback from 1956-1972, during that time he won MVP twice was very out spoken about the move from Baltimore. Johnny Unitas refuse to be included in anything involving the new city the Colts moved to. The "Golden Arm" Johnny Unitas was the fans favorite and a true football Legend here in Baltimore and around the League.
